Stars of Tomorrow News

April 10, 2006…It is with very heavy hearts we share the news that Nick Nilmeyer, 2005 Stars of Tomorrow Team Captain, was tragically killed on March 21, 2006, when landing his aircraft after a practice session. Amy Bednarcik, EVP of I Fly America, shares, “We met Nick on a couple of brief occasions when he was performing at an airshow, and each time, we all walked away expressing just what a nice, genuine young man Nick was. He had done so much with his life at such a young age and we were impressed with his skills as an aerobatic pilot. He was such a terrific role model for kids whether aspiring to be an aviator or not because he exemplified what commitment, dedication, and hard work can result in. Nick was truly blessed because he figured out early on just what it was he wanted to do with his life and he pursued it 110%. He’ll be truly missed.” For more information, click here.
